2009 Lumma CLR 730 RS

2009 Lumma CLR 730 RS, One of the fastest limousine worldwide, With a unique combination of High Tech engineering and an innovative, solely for maximum power constructed design, LUMMA Design introduces, in cooperation with G-Power. Do you need a true-bred sports car for a spectacular appearance? By no means! With this unique sports limousine CLR 730 RS LUMMA Design, basic vehicle BMW M5 E60, benches many sport cars. Ten cylinders, bi compressor engine, 730 hp and 700 Nm. Is there any room for improvement? Definitely not! The new LCR 730 RS from LUMMA Design is a commitment to racing. But also concerning style and luxury the CLR 730 RS goes strong.

Aerodynamics is of elementary importance to get a more then 360 km/h maximum speed. The body of the BMW M5 is improved with ultra light but extremely compact carbon components. The LUMMA Bodykit "CLR 730 RS" consist of a hood, a trunk lid with integrated tearing edge, mirror caps, door handles, entrance strips and fenders - all made of carbon.
Extra light and forged wheels were produced for the ultra broad track. On the front axle are LUMMA Racing rims in 10x21" with tires size 255/30-21, on the rear axle 12Jx21 with tires from Michelin size 295/25-21. The wheelwork is three piece crafted, the rim star is forged, and dull black anodized and has stainless steel outer rims.

2009 Lumma CLR 730 RS

The combination of lightweight, enormous engine power and innovative aerodynamics the LUMMA CLR 730 RS from Winterlingen achieves acceleration times which were so far only subject to true race cars. The 730 hp V10 bi-compressor engine obstructed from G-power is the most powerful engine that has ever been obstructed into a road-legal BMW. Off the top off one's head the car catapults itself within 4.2 seconds up to speed 100. After 10 seconds the sport limousine has already doubled the speed. After 29.5 seconds the car achieves 300 km/h. Top speed is at 367,4 km/h. This power explosion is traced back to the core of the G-Power compressor system, the ASA radial compressor. Also used is a LUMMA sport exhaust system with 100 cells racing catalysts and 105 mm end pipes made of stainless steel and engraved LUMMA logo.

The overall sporty look is completed by the bikini fairing and vented mudguard, but if we take a better look at the back, the underseat exhaust tends to turn it into a veritable racing motorcycle, which is what café racers were originally supposed to be. Also, the red/white color scheme was the adequate choice in our opinion.

FMF Racing Apex Exhaust on Kawasaki ZX-10R - Tested

FMF Racing Apex Exhaust on Kawasaki ZX-10R
Ask first ten riders aftermarket purchases they made for their motorcycles and the possibility of nine of them will give the same answer: a drainage system. It's hard to resist whining howl of the engine full song, and let the engine breath easier not only release more than a beautiful exhaust note, but it also can liberate a certain power in the process. The problem was always that the change in air / fuel ratio caused by a new exhaust, the reconfiguration of the fuel injection (or re-jetting the carburetor to those who have an old bike) to achieve the right mix is usually required.

FMF does not think that should happen. Its line of Apex slip-on exhaust is completely designed and manufactured in Southern California headquarters to operate without recalibrating the motorcycle stock fuel system. Although relatively new on the market side, FMF has been heavily involved in off-road competition in both two-and four-stroke engines for over 30 years. Companies that do not dip your toes in the street scene, although they hit the ground running. In the AMA, the Corona Honda Superbike team are given U.S. FMF exhaust, FMF and other road is wide enough supply.

Want to know the performance benefits of Apex without recalibration fuel injection, we decided to test us Apex Kawasaki ZX-10R. The exhaust is available in two versions - a carbon fiber tube with the tip of titanium, or titanium canister with carbon tip. A titanium mid-pipe comes with each kit. We accept carbon tubes for the Kawi. Installation is quite simple as the directions and all necessary hardware is included. Also included is a conical insert keep quiet exhaust note and good neighbors.

FMF Racing Apex Exhaust on Kawasaki ZX-10RFMF Apex Exhaust tested Chart

The first thing we noticed was an increase mid-range power. Of course, this all according to our butt dyno. So the trip to the official Dynojet dyno we were in the order. Shares, ZX-10R us out 75.6 horsepower and 161.7 ft-lbs of torque. With Apex unlimited-slip on these numbers jumped 76.5 horsepower and 164.0 ft-lbs. In contrast, the cones in the most quiet (most restrictive) settings, the number fell slightly to 161.2 and 74.8, respectively. Yes, less horsepower and torque than the standard configuration.

While the numbers are significant, what is more important is the dyno curve, as the application of power to say more subtle than before. Shares, the ZX-10R will be dead spots when a gas-usually between 4500 and 5000rpm-effect mother nature trying to make happy. Flat spot now gone, replaced with a smooth and linear power delivery of the entire rev range. What's more, drops Apex fairly heavy piece by cutting the stock cans; the Kawasaki dropped nine pounds, to be exact.

Although they may be a new game, FMF dirt obviously has brought expertise from side to side of the road with a series of Apex muffler. In all of our exercise power output has been smoothed away, so for linear delivery of power where you use it most. The Apex you see here retails for $ 549.99, though pricing is different for underseat and dual-exhaust setup.

Spies to move to Monster Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP in 2010

Texan to join fellow Lone Star Statesman Colin Edwards at Monster Tech 3 Yamaha team

Ben Spies To Yamaha MotoGP
In what was a wild-rumored but still somewhat expected considering the ambiguity of previous announcements when the company revealed that current World Superbike rider Ben Spies has signed for two more years, Yamaha announced today that Spies will actually move directly to MotoGP next year , instead of living in the World Superbike series for one year before making the move to the Premier class in 2011. Spies will be joined by fellow Texan Colin Edwards of Tech 3 Yamaha Monster team, replacing former World Superbike champion James Toseland, who will take Spies' place in the squad WSBK Yamaha. The spies' old crew chief Tom Houseworth and mechanic Greg Wood will also make a move together with Spies to MotoGP.

"I want to thank Yamaha globally because of their faith in me," said Spies. "They've treated me like a king! Yamaha recently allowed me to rethink my contract for 2010-2011; I sign for the WSB for 2010, but after I started thinking about Indy competition and my age versus waiting until 2011. This is not an easy decision, Yamaha World Superbike team and crew has been especially Massimo Meregalli was fantastic and very pleasant to be included in one season together. I hope that I can give May, Laurens Klein Koerkamp and others to remember the championship this year with me. Thank I love also extends to the 'Infront', promoters of WSB series, especially Paolo Ciabatti. I've enjoyed the series and this first year racing in Europe. Now I have two challenges, to finish this year provides the best and to move toward goal - new goals in MotoGP. Herve Poncharal at Tech 3 is to show support by allowing me to come on board with my crew chief Tom Houseworth and Gregory Wood, my mechanic, who have both been with me since the AMA today. We will have a learning curve to overcome next year but I woke up to a new purpose. I hope to have a good year and my goal is to try and stay on top of 6-8, considering the talented line up, will be difficult. With the world upside down, there is one constant for me and that's Yamaha. "

Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, will see Spies' move as a preventive measure for the year 2011, when the second contract Fiat Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo ended. "Following the announcement of Ben's two-year deal with Yamaha one month ago, he has re-elect him and decided that he wanted to move to MotoGP sooner rather than later," said Jarvis. "Yamaha has considered the request and with Tech 3, we can find a way to make it happen. Ben has done a fantastic job in rookie season in World Superbike and now we are very excited to welcome him to the GP program faster than we expected originally . We believe that Ben would be a quick study next season and a strong future championship competitors. We look forward to working with him in the years to come. "

Toseland's moved back to the World Superbike has been estimated, as a result has been sub-par for the two British riders in the MotoGP season. Meanwhile, the current team Edwards has consistently out-performing him, with a much publicized spat between the two because of Toseland's "poaching" Edwards' former crew chief this year and increase the American motivation in the team's increasing tension. With Spies take place, it would bet that the wall separating the two Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider (as well as the factory Fiat Yamaha team) will be taken down.

2009 Sport Car Renault Megane Trophy

The 2009 Megane Trophy will go on sale at the end of the year in the form of kit after the completion of its development programme which will enable existing cars to be upgraded.
The 2009 Renault Megane Trophy is based on the new Megane Coupe which is powered by the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s mid-rear 3.5-liter V6 24V engine that produces 360 hp.
The front and rear light units and windscreen are from the Megane Coupe road car while flowing lines of the bodywork was designed from digital simulation technology to improve the aerodynamic.
The Renault Megane Trophy features front splitter which channel air flow to the extractors and rear diffuser and wing that generated downforce. Downforce has improved by 20 % with the refinements to the set-up and drag was reduced by 15 % , which together, represent a gain of almost 40% in terms of the new car’s aerodynamic performance over the previous generation vehicle.

Apart from that, the Megane Trophy also features butterfly doors reminiscent of the world of GT and sports-prototype racing. The V6 3.5 24V engine is mated to a semi-automatic gearbox with the same mechanical features as the current car, including an FIA-homologated sports-prototype tubular chassis, steering wheel-mounted paddle shift, double wishbone suspension with adjustable dampers, 18-inch wheels and Michelin tires.
The power of the standard 330 hp engine was boosted to 360 hp with the help from the new inlet manifold. Rebuild is still at every 5,500 km for the car’s reliability. According to Renault, with the new aerodynamic gains, the extra power from the engine will enable the 2009 Renault Megane Trophy to lap in similar times to those of a Porsche GT3.

2009 Sport Car Audi R8 GT3

Audi Sport will offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use in the form of the powerful 500 hp plus GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available from autumn 2009. The logistics and factory space required for the AUDI AG customer programme will be created over the next few months in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Györ.
The Audi R8 conforms to the production-based GT3 regulations allowing the car to be fielded in numerous national and international race series.
Because the GT3 regulations prohibit the use of four-wheel drive the Audi R8 comes with the typical GT rear-wheel drive. The power is transmitted via a newly developed six-speed sequential sports gearbox. The suspension uses almost exclusively components from the production line. A comprehensive list of safety equipment guarantees the highest-level of passive safety. A modified front end and a large rear-wing generate the required downforce for the race track.
The Audi R8, which bears the project name “R16” within Audi Sport, was developed under the direction of Audi Sport. Mid August, the first prototype successfully completed a roll-out in the hands of Audi factory driver Frank Biela.

This early agreement permits Yamaha and Ben Spies to now fully focus on their 2009 World Superbike campaign in their challenge to achieve their first World Superbike Championship titles together."

Ben is doing a great job for Yamaha in his first season in the World Superbike Championship. He is in great shape to challenge for the title this year and we will be rooting for him at the remaining four events this season. Ben's primary mission is to win both his and Yamaha's first World Superbike title. After that when Ben eventually makes the move to the MotoGP championship we will be ready for him and, in line with the new MotoGP regulations, we will create a place for him within the Yamaha satellite team and give him the support he needs for his next challenge."

"I am very happy to say that I will remain a part of the Yamaha family," said Ben Spies, "and that I will continue in the WSB series for 2010. This is an exciting period of my racing career and I look forward now even more. Yamaha has been great in the warm welcome that I have received entering the world arena and I want to thank them for all they have done, and for giving me their trust for a next career step into MotoGP in 2011."
